This course provides students with an introduction to the theory and applied concepts of database
design, database management and information management. Students will focus on identifying organizational
information requirements, express those requirements using conceptual data modeling techniques, verifying
the structural characteristics with normalization techniques and convert conceptual data models into
physical database models.
