This course provides an overview of various healthcare settings where Licensed Practical Nurses
(LPNs) practice. Students will explore the roles and responsibilities of the LPN within different healthcare
environments, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, ambulatory care settings, and community
health. The course will emphasize the importance of interprofessional collaboration, patient-centered care,
and the impact of healthcare policy on nursing practice. Students will develop an understanding of the
unique challenges and opportunities presented in each setting.
