This course provides an in-depth review of the concepts of emergency management work. The
operational aspects are discussed in relation to the skills needed to do emergency management work, as well
as the analytical and critical-thinking skills needed for incident command work. Emphasis is placed on the
use of technologies, enhanced leadership skills and the challenges of communications in disaster work.
