This course provides a broad introduction to health services administration within the
U.S.healthcare system. Students examine the structure of the healthcare delivery system, including its major
components, key stakeholders, and the roles of healthcare organizations across the continuum of care. This
course also explores how innovation in healthcare, emerging technologies, communication, and data-informed
decision-making influence healthcare access, quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. Students build a
foundational understanding of healthcare systems, healthcare operations, and the evolving environment of
health services administration.
