This course explores the basic biostatistical principles with a focus on public health data.
General concepts and principles include the basics of hypothesis testing, measurement scales, frequency
distributions, and probability concepts. Students are introduced to univariate, bivariate, and multivariate
statistical testing methods. Students learn how to use data visualization to present data and how to
interpret statistical tests and present results.
